On Monday night, the team got their glad-rags on and headed to the Radisson Blu in Quesir for our NGO’s kindergarten graduation! With invitations kindly provided by Ali, the head of the Roaya NGO, the team felt honoured to be invited to this wonderful event attended by parents of the children that attend the NGO and many local supporters.

The team was treated to an evening of sketches, song, and dances by the children that they had clearly worked very hard on… even though the show was all in Arabic, it was clear that all the children and volunteers at the NGO had all put in a lot of effort. There was lots of enthusiastic dancing to traditional children’s music as well as some modern music. Two young children also sang traditional Arabic verses while others performed a  sketch involving a giant carrot. That one was a little difficult for the team to understand, but we still enjoyed it!

At the end of the show, all the young boys and girls that attend the NGO were awarded a certificate whilst sporting traditional graduation mortarboards, and there were many proud parents taking photos. It was clear to see the impact that this NGO has had on the local community here in Quesir, and the team would like to thank Ali for allowing us to attend such a wonderful event. We would also like to give a shout-out of appreciation to all the people who spent their time there making it such a success, and of course, to all the children who helped make the evening so special!
