With the Egypt Expedition 2018 start date fast approaching, the Egypt team are working hard to fundraise before they set off.

Recently, this saw them geared up in fins, a mask and a snorkel for their sponsored snorkel event where they would be continuously swimming the width of the red sea (21 miles). At 9AM sharp the first snorkelers set off, and with 150 lengths to do each it wasn’t long before everyone was in the pool.

The final snorkelers exited the pool at (what time) after a successful team attempt of a combined 1350 lengths of the Stevenson gym pool. While we all nursed aching legs for a few days, we all really enjoyed the challenge and are looking forward to getting back into our snorkelling gear; next time in Egypt!

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the support we have had so far! Stay tuned to see what the team got up to with pupils from the Sunnyside Primary School.
