This is the blog for the Glasgow University Egypt Marine expedition.
Over the summer in 2017, a small number of students travelled to El Quesir, on the coast of the Red Sea, to carry out a number of scientific projects looking at a range of topics, including coral reef bleaching and the impact of fishing on reef communities.
This coming summer, another team will head out to the same area to undertake more work. Some of the projects will follow on from last years, with others being original.
Keep an eye on this site for more info over the upcoming year, with details about fundraisers and other events leading up to departure, along with regular updates once the team arrives on site.
